What makes this tour special

With Captain Cook Cruises choose from a range of delightful tours and discover the beautiful Sydney Harbour, one of the world’s most spectacular waterways. Captain Cook Cruises began in 1970 and has a fleet of restaurant, sightseeing, ferry and sailing vessels. Enjoy splendid views of Sydney’s iconic attractions while you savour delicious food aboard a lunch or dinner cruise. Two popular sightseeing cruises are the Harbour Highlights Cruise and the Harbour Story Cruise. For convenience, Captain Cook’s Hop-on Hop-Off Sydney Explorer ferry ticket enables you to travel between the harbourside attractions. The Zoo Express Pass includes return transfers to Taronga Zoo by rocket ferry, Zoo Entrance Ticket and Sky Safari Cable Car.

The Harbour Highlights Cruise: See all the famous Sydney Harbour landmarks with GPS commentary. This 75-minute afternoon cruise departs daily from Circular Quay. Capture the moment with your camera as you cruise up close to the Sydney Opera House and past palatial waterfront mansions along the exclusive eastern suburbs. Cruise under the Sydney Harbour Bridge where you may spot climbers waving to you from the top of the bridge. There is plenty for the children too with ferry and tug boats criss-crossing the harbour, islands and forts, lighthouses, naval vessels and submarines and even the occasional whale, dolphin, seal or fairy penguin.

Harbour Story Cruise: Discover Sydney’s best sightseeing cruise. The Harbour Story cruise includes refreshments and an entertaining, personalised commentary of the people, places and events that have made Sydney Harbour the most beautiful and exciting harbour in the world. 2-hour morning and afternoon cruises depart daily from Circular Quay. Every cruise includes Sydney's iconic landmarks such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Royal Botanic Gardens, Garden Island Naval base, Taronga Zoo, Government House, palatial waterfront homes, Fort Denison and much more. The pace is relaxed and gentle, giving you plenty of time to capture the perfect selfie. The Harbour Story operates on a premium sightseeing vessels which means spacious outdoor decks and expansive viewing windows from our all-weather indoor lounges. Unlimited self-service tea, filtered coffee and biscuits are included. The licensed bar also offers a choice of premium wines, beers and coffee to order at an additional price.

Hop-On Hop-Off Harbour Explorer Pass:  This pass is an easy way for visitors to explore Sydney over 2 calendar days visiting up to eleven famous harbour precincts including Darling Harbour, ICC Sydney, Barangaroo, Circular Quay (The Rocks & Opera House), Taronga Zoo, Manly, Watsons Bay, Fort Denison, Luna Park, Shark Island & Garden Island. These red rocket ferries criss-cross the harbour throughout the day, travelling between the eleven famous stops. Hop-on and hop-off as you like using one easy to follow timetable, rather than the maze of commuter ferry timetables. You’ll also be welcomed onboard, given full commentary and provided hints on how to make the most of your time in Sydney that only the locals know.

Zoo Express: Cruise and Zoo Entry: Sydney's famous Taronga Zoo is located right on the foreshore of Sydney Harbour. The conservation and breeding programmes help to secure a future endangered species around the world. The Zoo Express Pass is the most fun way to travel to the Zoo. It is a great savings bundle including return rocket ferry between Taronga Zoo and Circular Quay, Manly, Watsons Bay or Darling Harbour plus entry to Taronga Zoo and Sky Safari cable car.

Seafood Buffet Lunch Cruise: One of the great delights of Australia is the abundance and diversity of local seafood. As an island nation where 90% of the population lives on the coastal fringes, seafood has become a staple of the Aussie diet. On the buffet, Sydney rock oysters, crab, ocean prawns and the succulent fish are the most popular treats. Non-seafood eaters, meat lovers and vegetarians can take pleasure in the abundance of international hot and cold dishes, salads, desserts and cheeses. Enjoyed by thousands of visitors every year, this cruise combines a great sightseeing experience with a delicious lunch. The atmosphere is more casual than the Top Deck Lunch and the commentary provides a fascinating insight into Sydney of the past, present and future.  After lunch, wander up to the open top deck for some Sydney sunshine, a close-up photograph of the Opera House gliding by, or wave at the climbers as we cruise under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Twilight Dinner Cruise: Dine on Sydney Harbour and experience all the colour of autumn/spring sunsets, winter twilight or the endless days of summer on the 5 pm Sunset Dinner Cruise. Departing from Darling Harbour, King Street, Wharf No.1, start your evening with a glass of sparkling wine and a mezze plate to share, followed a choice of mains and desserts, with wine and beer included. Enjoy spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge as we cruise the main harbour. At the end of the cruise meander along the Darling Harbour foreshore and enjoy a nightcap at one of the many nightclubs and bars or catch the fireworks in Cockle Bay most Saturday nights.
