The Ancient City is a Mini-Thailand, a big open-air museum situated 33 km east of Bangkok. All major monuments ranging from one-third of original to actual size and even a 50 meters high mini-mountain representing Khao Prasat Phra Viharn in the east of Thailand have been reconstructed, and millions have been invested in rebuilding the ancient Reception Hall of Ayutthaya.

Jim Thompson House is a house; belong to the late James H.W. Thompson who came to Thailand as an officer in the US forces during World War II. The name Jim Thompson became synonymous with Thai silk. He had arranged for the dismantling of ancient teak houses from various place and reassembled on the bank of Sansa Canal in Bangkok. He mysteriously disappeared during a visit to the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia in 1967.
Suan Pakkad Palace; used to be the residence of Princess Chumbhotpong Paripatra of Nagor Svarga, one of Thailand's leading art collector. There is a complex of five traditional Thai House, overlooking a beautifully kept garden. They house a large collection of Asia art and antiques.
Vimanmek Royal Mansion: (Castle in the Clouds) this is the world's largest building made entirely of golden teak. Removed from Srichang Island in Chonburi province, it was rebuilt in the Dusit Palace in 1900 by the command of King Rama V
